Our Open and Affirming Statement

"We, the congregation of the United Church of Christ (Congregational), Delavan, embrace the designation of Open and Affirming.  We regard all persons as creations made in God's very image, regardless of sexual orientation or expression, gender identity or expression, age, race, ethnicity, national origin, marital status, abilities, economic status, family structure, or any other label that would seek to divide rather than unite.  We affirm the rights and responsibilities of all of full participation in the ministry of our church."

Our ONA Extravagant Welcome

Part of the Delavan UCC's (Congregational) call to action is to live our faith outside of the physical walls of our church.  One way we can do that is to support causes that exemplify love and acceptance and advocate for marginalized persons.

During the summer of 2017, we had the privilege of participating in the 1st Walworth County Pride Fair by passing out free cookies and bars, selling "Take Action Against Bullying" rainbow pins, promoting the borrowing of our Rainbow Doors, and collecting over $80.00 in donations for LGBT WalCo!

We continued our Walworth County Pride Fair booth in 2018 and hope to do so for many more years to come ...
